Former SFI leader K Vidya, who is accused of possessing a fake experience certificate, has not been arrested by the police. Police have reported that Vidya has relocated from Ernakulam to Calicut, leading the police investigation to shift its focus to Calicut. The investigation team visited Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady, to gather statements from Vidya’s friends. Additionally, the team conducted visits to their residences as part of the ongoing investigation. Subsequently, the police discovered that Vidya had already moved to Calicut.

In the coming days, the police will record statements from all members of the interview panel at Government Arts and Science College, Pathirippala, where Vidya had served as a guest lecturer using fraudulent documents.

Simultaneously, the Deputy Director of Collegiate Education will collect statements from the principal of Government Attapadi College and other panel members who initially filed the complaint against Vidya.

Recently, there have been reports that a prominent SFI leader also accompanied Vidya to attend the interview at Attapadi. It is alleged that the police have obtained CCTV video footage supporting these claims. But critics argue that the ongoing police investigation is a farce and that there is collusion taking place to protect Vidya.
