COCHIN: A horrifying incident unfolded at a private hospital in Angamaly’s Mookannur, as a woman lost her life after being stabbed by her former friend. The victim, identified as Liji from Thuravur, was present at MAGJ Hospital to attend to her ailing mother when the shocking incident occurred.
The prime suspect in the case is Mahesh, who was known to have a previous friendship with Liji.
According to reports, an argument erupted between Liji and Mahesh inside the hospital premises, escalating to a point where Mahesh resorted to using a knife.
Despite Liji’s attempts to flee, Mahesh relentlessly pursued her, inflicting multiple stab wounds that proved fatal. Upon hearing Liji’s cries for help, hospital staff rushed to intervene, but Mahesh menaced them with the weapon, preventing their intervention.
Later, the hospital security staffs and other individuals present managed to apprehend the accused, securing him until the arrival of the police, who took him into custody. This distressing incident has left the community in shock and mourning the loss of the innocent woman whose life was tragically cut short by an act of violence.
