Thiruvananthapuram :  Kerala Police has announced that it will allow citizens to obtain a Police Clearance Certificate without the need to physically visit a police station. The new online application process, facilitated through the official “Pol” App of the Kerala Police, promises to streamline and expedite the process of acquiring a Non-Involvement Certificate for various purposes such as work, study, recruitment, and travel.

The announcement was made in Thiruvananthapuram, marking a significant leap forward in leveraging digital technology to better serve the citizens of Kerala. The Police Clearance Certificate is a crucial document often required for a range of activities and transactions. Recognising the importance of providing an efficient and user-friendly solution, the Kerala Police introduced this online platform to simplify the application process.

To avail of this innovative service, individuals are required to install the “Pol” App and complete the registration process. Once registered, users can navigate to the “Service” section within the app and select the “Certificate of Non-Involvement in Offences” option. The platform guides users through the steps of uploading the necessary documents, which include a passport-sized photograph, a photo ID, address proof (Aadhaar), and digital copies of certificates outlining the purpose for which the certificate is needed.

Applicants also have the flexibility to choose whether they wish to receive the certificate from the District Police Chief or the Station House Officer. After entering the requisite details, a link to pay the applicable fee will be provided. Upon successful payment, the application can be submitted. Following submission, the Kerala Police will diligently review the application, conduct the necessary investigations, and subsequently grant the Police Clearance Certificate.
