Alappuzha: AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal MP’s house has been burglarized. The incident took place at a residence that also serves as an official office. Letterheads, check leaves, watches, and files were among the items stolen. The incident occurred on Thursday night.

Staff member Ajmal and Youth Congress Ambalapuzha Block President Nooruddin Koya were present at the residence until 11:30 PM on the day of the incident. The theft occurred after their departure. The following morning, when Ajmal arrived at eleven o’clock, he discovered the theft.

The staff members have reported that the burglars gained entry to the house by tampering with the window bars at the rear of the house. The files stored in the cupboards within both the office room and the bedroom was found in a state of mess. The laptop and mobile phones were not stolen.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the police, fingerprint experts, and a dog squad arrived at the scene. A police dog trained in sniffing immediately headed towards Kalarcode. Venugopal’s official residence is located in Kaitavana Ward, Alappuzha. As per the police, there have been thefts reported in two neighbouring houses recently. However, the police have been unable to apprehend the suspects involved in both of these incidents.
