Kannur: A tragedy unfolded in Thalap, Kannur, in the early hours of today as a collision between a mini-lorry and a bike claimed the lives of two individuals. The victims, identified as Manaf and Latif, both hailing from Kasaragod, were on their way to their destination when the accident occurred.
The fateful incident took place around 1 a.m., casting a shadow of sorrow over the serene Kannur ,Thalap area. Manaf and Latif, natives of Kasaragod, were travelling on a bike along their intended route when their journey took an unfortunate turn.
The collision unfolded between a mini-lorry en route from Mangaluru to Ayikkara and the ill-fated bike on its way from Kannur to Puthiyatheru. The force of the impact left both vehicles severely damaged.
Local residents, upon hearing the collision, rushed to the accident scene, rendering assistance to the injured victims. Swiftly, they were transported to a nearby hospital in the hopes of receiving life-saving medical attention. However, despite the best efforts of medical personnel, the lives of Manaf and Latif could not be saved.
