Thiruvananthapuram: The upcoming Onam holidays have been officially declared for all educational institutions, including professional colleges, across the state. These holidays are scheduled to begin from August 25 and extend till September 3.
The renowned Trippunithura Athachamaya procession, inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, took place yesterday. Actor Mammootty had the honour of commencing the procession. During the inauguration, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan emphasized the significance of celebrating Onam with a collective spirit, embracing the joy of togetherness. Minister P Rajeev performed the ceremonial hoisting of the Atham flag, marking the commencement of the Onam festivities in the state.
