Thiruvananthapuram: Prominent Malayalam cinema editor Harihara Putran, aged 79, has passed away at his residence in Thiruvananthapuram. The cremation is scheduled to take place today at 2 p.m. at Shanthikavadam in Thaikkad.
Harihara putran remained actively engaged in the Malayalam film industry for a span of five decades. He held the role of editor for numerous blockbuster films such as “Punjabi House,” “Mayavi,” “Pandipada,” and “Sukhamo Devi”.
He was active in the film industry for almost 50 years. Colleagues conveyed their heartfelt condolences. “He was the editor of all my early films. Praying for eternal peace of soul,” Director Vijay Thampi wrote on Facebook, expressing his solidarity with the family’s grief.
