KASARAGOD: A group of five individuals attacked police officers while on patrol. The incident occurred in Hidayath Nagar, Uppala, in the Kasaragod district. Police Sub-Inspector P. Anoop from the Manjeswaram Police was the target of the attack, resulting in a fracture to his right hand. He was quickly transported to a nearby government hospital.
The police have filed a case against the five individuals involved. The incident unfolded this morning while a police team was conducting routine patrols in the area.
The police halted their patrol vehicle upon noticing a gathering of people. When the group resisted the police’s instructions to disperse, a heated argument ensued. Subsequently, the five individuals in the group launched an attack on the police. Authorities are currently investigating the motive behind this assault.
