Chennai: On the second day after their marriage, a young man named Saravanan (27), a native of Ranipet, Tamil Nadu, tragically took his own life by hanging himself using his wife’s wedding sari. Saravanan, a 27-year-old native of Ranipet, Tamil Nadu, and SHwetha, a 21-year-old native of Chengalpet, recently got married just two days ago.
Yesterday morning, Saravanan was found hanging, and his wife, Shweta, discovered him. Overwhelmed by the sight, Shweta ran out of the room and lost consciousness. Upon hearing Shweta’s screams, the parents rushed into the room and found Saravanan hanging.
Saravanan and Shweta had been friends since childhood. The Chengalpet police arrived promptly at the scene and immediately moved the body for a post-mortem examination. The police are currently investigating the complaint filed by the family.
