Wayanad: A 14-year-old youth has been arrested by the police following a month-long investigation into his involvement in cyber-bullying. The young boy was taken into custody for his alleged use of advanced AI technology to morph images of female students.
The investigation revealed a distressing pattern of bullying committed by the 14-year-old. It was determined that he had gathered pictures of female students he knew and employed AI tools to morph these images. The teenager’s modus operandi involved threatening the students by collecting the images of girls, subsequently manipulating them using AI technology, and disseminating them through fake social media accounts. After a month-long inquiry, it was discovered that the 14-year-old bullied a number of female students.
To avoid detection by the cyber police, the 14-year-old utilised advanced techniques. These included the misuse of VPN (Virtual Private Network) technology and Chatbots, which were used to conceal his identity and activities while carrying out the cyber-bullying. In response to these serious allegations, law enforcement authorities have announced their intention to file a case against the young offender in juvenile court.
