Panchayat office halts functioning as staff flocked to attend wedding in Thrissur

Thrissur: Operations at the Pazhayannur Grama Panchayat office in Chelakkara came to a temporary standstill as a significant number of officers and employees left en masse to attend a wedding. The officials were absent from their duties to join the wedding celebration of the Panchayat Secretary’s son. Despite initially reporting for work in the morning and recording their attendance, they opted to leave for the wedding. This unexpected exodus left the panchayat’s daily operations in complete disarray, inconveniencing individuals who had arrived for various matters, only to find a lack of officials.
