THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In light of recent price hikes, there has been a slight decline in gold prices.
From yesterday’s price, the 22-carat gold declined by Rs 80 per sovereign Rs 10 per gram.
Today, the market price for 22-carat gold is Rs 5,660 per gram, and for 1 sovereign, it stands at Rs 45,280 in Kerala.
At the same time, the price of silver has increased by Rs 1, with one gram of silver selling for Rs 78, and one gram of hallmarked silver available for Rs 103.
The price of gold in the state has decreased today as it has reached $1,992 per troy ounce in the international market.
A troy ounce is a unit of measure used for weighing precious metals that dates back to the Middle Ages. The troy ounce is the equivalent of 31.1034768 grams.
