Police to conduct drug test at Manaviyam Veethi

Thiruvananthapuram: Taking strict measures in the wake of a recent clash erupted between youths at Manaviyam Veethi, the police have initiated a crackdown on unruly behaviour at the Keraleeyam venue. As of today, police are conducting drug tests on individuals at Manaviyam Veethi to maintain order and safety. The tests involve using drug kits provided by the narcotics cell to detect drug usage, along with alcohol tests using breathalyzers. Suspicious individuals are being subjected to these tests, and police are even using police dogs to enhance security.

In response to the recent clash that erupted at Manaviyam Veethi, Thiruvananthapuram Museum Police has registered a case against two individuals who were involved in the incident. Despite the fact that no formal complaints were filed regarding the incident, Thiruvananthapuram DCP Nidhin Raj has stated that a case will be registered voluntarily .

To prevent a recurrence of violence and maintain safety in the area, the police presence at Manaviyam Veethi has been reinforced in addition to drug and alcohol testing. The Rapid Action Force, shadow police, and special officers will be on hand to monitor the situation and respond swiftly to any potential issues. These measures are aimed at preserving the status of the city’s sole nightlife spot as a peaceful and enjoyable destination for all.
