Thiruvananthapuram: After a week, gold price in the state have seen an increase today. The market witnessed a rise of Rs 240 per sovereign of gold, bringing the price of gold to Rs 44,800. This reflects an increase of Rs 30 per gram, with the current rate for one gram of gold standing at Rs 5,600.
It is essential to highlight that on October 28, gold prices reached a record high. At that time, the price of one gram of gold soared to Rs 5,740, with the overall gold rate reaching Rs 45,920 for a sovereign of gold. The fluctuations in the international gold market continue to impact the local prices in the state.
Meanwhile, a marginal uptick has been recorded in the price of silver. The market now sees ordinary silver priced at Rs 77 per gram, while hallmark silver is valued at Rs 103 per .
