Pathanamthitta: A bus transporting Sabarimala pilgrims from Andhra Pradesh overturned this morning between Laha and Pudukada in Pathanamthitta. The mishap occurred as the pilgrims were returning from Darshan (an auspicious sight of a deity). The accident resulted in minor injuries to three individuals, who have been promptly admitted to the Perunadu government hospital.
Pilgrims on another bus from Andhra Pradesh faced a disturbing episode of stone-pelting at Athikkayam. The attack occurred the previous day and involved two unidentified individuals on a bike pelting stones at the bus after forcefully stopping it. No passengers were injured, but the front windows of the vehicle were shattered. The police have initiated a search operation to arrest the culprits responsible for the attack.
