Thiruvananthapuram: The Health Department has issued a special alert for three districts in the state as a precautionary measure against the rising incidence of communal diseases. Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, and Ernakulam districts are on high alert, as announced in a meeting chaired by the Health Minister to address the prevention of communicable diseases.
Concerns have escalated following the confirmation of 86 cases of dengue fever in the state yesterday alone. The severity of the dengue outbreak is particularly pronounced in the urban and coastal areas of the above-mentioned districts. Authorities express apprehension that the preventive measures are ineffective, and hospitals are witnessing an influx of individuals experiencing common fever symptoms. Health experts say it’s important not to treat fevers on your own because it can be dangerous.
