Kottayam: A young man died by drowning in a river. Jaswin (20), a native of Ayarkunnam, lost his life in a drowning incident at Kidangoor. The incident occurred yesterday evening.
The incident occurred when Jaswin and his friend went for an evening swim in the check dam. At that time, Jaswin was caught in the current and swept away. Jaswin’s friend, who was with him, tried to pull him to the shore but failed.
Then he alerted the locals and the fire force. They jointly launched a search operation. Despite their efforts, Jaswin could not be saved. His lifeless body was found this morning. The authorities plan to hand over the young man’s body to his relatives after completing the official procedures.
