Alappuzha: The Ernad Express has been granted a stop at Mararikulam for the 6th and 7th of December. This decision comes in light after the cancellation of the Alappuzha-Dhanbad Express due to the aftermath of Cyclone Michaung.
Chennai has been grappling with severe waterlogging and disruptions in transportation services following the impact of Cyclone Michaung. The aftermath has led to the suspension of numerous flight and train services.
Despite a decrease in rainfall, some parts of Chennai continue to experience significant waterlogging. In response to the challenging conditions, public holidays were declared today in Chennai, Kancheepuram, Chengalpet, and Thiruvallur districts in Tamil Nadu. The ongoing rain in Chennai is reported to be the most intense rainfall in the past five decades.
