Thiruvananthapuram: The South Eastern Railway has opened opportunities for sportspersons with the announcement of 54 vacancies in the sports quota. Interested candidates can apply for the positions through the official website, www.rrcser.co.in, with the deadline for application submissions set for December 26.
A variety of sports categories are included in the recruitment drive, such as archery (female), athletics (male), boxing (male), body building (male), cricket (male), chess (male), football (male), gymnastics (male/female), hockey (male/female), Kabaddi (male/female), powerlifting (male/female), swimming (male), table tennis (male), tennis (male), volleyball (male/female), and water polo (male).
The educational qualifications required for the positions range from 10th grade to 12th grade, ITI and graduation . Applicants should fall within the age bracket of 18 to 25 years to be eligible for consideration. The recruitment drive encourages applications from women, Divyangar, differently abled, SC, ST, and EWS candidates.
As for the application process, a nominal fee is applicable. Candidates belonging to sectarian and religious minorities are required to pay Rs 250, while for others, the application fee is Rs 500.
