Kollam: Stray dog attacks have reached an alarming level in Kulathupuzha, causing distress among the locals. Incidents of street dog attacks have increased notably at the Kulathupuzha Market junction and Muslim Jamaat Junction. Residents express their fear of stepping outside due to the presence of aggressive stray dogs and are urgently calling for immediate intervention of authorities.
In the past week alone, nine individuals fell victim to stray dog attacks in Kulathupuzha. Saleem, Devi Jyothi, Shibu Khan, Raju, Elias, Mohanan, Tajudeen, Radhammal, and Erur native Jhonson were all bitten by these dogs. After receiving initial treatment at Kulathupuzha Government Hospital, they were subsequently transferred to Punalur Taluk Hospital. Authorities caution that the attacking dog is suspected to be carrying rabies, emphasizing the need for heightened vigilance.
