Pathanamthitta: A discrepancy has been noted between the figures provided by the Chief Minister regarding police deployment at Sabarimala and the current count of officers on duty. While the Chief Minister cited the deployment of 16,118 police personnel across Sannidhanam, Nilakkal, and Pamba, only 3,394 officers are actually present there on duty. At a given time, only 1,132 individuals are stationed across these three locations for crowd control and other services.

The Chief Minister asserted that a total of 16,118 police officers are deployed across all three locations. It is the total number of cops on duty throughout the season until Makaravilakku. The Chief Minister avoided media inquiries by citing this figure. At Sannidhanam, police officers work in two shifts, with 617 officers at a time and a total of 1,851 in two shifts. They are stationed in various areas like Pathinettam Padi, Sopanam, Nadapanthal, Malikappuram, Saramkuthy, and Marakoottam.

Near Pathinettampadi and the flagpole, 50 officers are stationed at a time, while 40 policemen are assigned to the Sopanam of the temple. The remaining officers are distributed across other areas. From Sannidhanam to Sabaripeedam, the current count includes one Superintendent of Police (SP), 11 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySP), 33 Circle Inspectors (CIs), and 103 Sub-Inspectors (SIs).
