Chennai: In a bid to alleviate the rush to Sabarimala, the Chennai-Kottayam Vande Bharat Express has proven to be a resounding success, with all tickets booked until next Sunday. The Vande Bharat Express service, initiated to cater to the increased passengers demand, commenced its first journey last Friday and witnessed overwhelming demand.
The second service of the Chennai-Kottayam Vande Bharat Express, which began its service yesterday, has also garnered a positive response, with every seat on the train booked. Notably, bookings for the next week are already at full capacity.
The Vande Bharat Express departs from Chennai at 4:30 a.m. and reaches Kottayam at 4:14 p.m. on the same today, with the return journey scheduled for the following day. The train makes special stops in Kerala at Palakkad (12:05 PM), Thrissur (1:20 PM), Aluva (2:20 PM), and at Ernakulam North (2:55 PM), providing convenient travel options for passengers along the route.
