Thiruvananthapuram: Cherian Philip, in a Facebook post, took a dig at the State Government’s Nava Kerala Sadas tour, humorously claiming that the major outcome was the ministers gaining weight. According to Philip, the primary accomplishment of the Nava Kerala Sadas tour was that many ministers experienced Kerala’s natural beauty, including mountains, forests, meadows, seas, lakes, and rivers for the first time.
In a satirical tone, Philip remarked that the ministers had become noticeably heavier after the Nava Kerala Sadas tour, with an average weight gain of ten kilograms each. He quipped that most ministers struggled to walk due to obesity and overweight issues, and some even had to be hospitalized during the event due to lifestyle diseases. Philip jokingly mentioned that one minister suffered from indigestion due to overeating.
Highlighting the impact on government functioning, Philip noted that the administration in the Secretariat had come to a standstill for the past one and a half months, with thousands of pending files and most officers on undeclared leave. He sarcastically reiterated that the main achievement of Nava Kerala Sadas was that many ministers experienced Kerala’s natural beauty for the first time.
