THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The world-famous Attukal Pongala Mahotsavam is scheduled to be held on February 25, 2024, in Thiruvananthapuram. Annually celebrated at the renowned Attukal Devi Temple in Thiruvananthapuram, the event draws over three million women who gather to offer Pongala to Attukal Devi, the Hindu goddess.

The Attukal Temple trust has announced that the 10-day annual festival will commence on February 17, 2024 (Saturday) at 8 a.m. and conclude on February 26.

Registration for Kutiyottam, a ritual performed by boys aged 10 to 12, began on November 17, 2023. This year, Kutiyottam fasting will commence on February 19th. In 2023, 743 boys participated in the Kutiyottam ritual.
