Thiruvananthapuram: A case has been filed by the police against Manu G Raj, former KSU leader and currently a practicing lawyer at the Kerala High Court, for allegedly presenting a fake law degree certificate. Hailing from Thiruvananthapuram, Manu had previously served as a member of the Kerala University Senate and as an ex-KSU State Executive Committee member.
The accused submitted a fake certificate of Magadh University in Bihar to the Bar Council, enabling him to practice law. Despite practicing in the High Court for the past ten years, the authenticity of Manu’s credentials came into question during an inspection by the Bar Council.
Upon discovering the fake certificate, council members reported the incident to the police. The Kochi Cantonment Police have now registered a case against Manu G Raj. The ongoing investigation will include a thorough examination of both the university’s records and the certificate presented by the accused before the council.
