Thiruvananthapuram: The individual who is responsible for incessantly harassing actress Praveena with obscene comments and also shared morphed pictures of her daughter has been apprehended, following the intervention of actor Suresh Gopi. The arrest was made after Praveena informed Suresh Gopi when he called her to invite his daughter’s wedding , and requesting him to file a complaint promptly.

The accused also shared morphed pictures of Praveena’s daughter, making her think about quitting her professional life. Praveena shared her concerns with Suresh Gopi when he wanted to invite her to his daughter’s wedding, and he took the matter directly to the Prime Minister’s office. The Prime Minister’s office swiftly intervened, resulting in the arrest of the cybercriminal.

Praveena had previously lodged complaints with the cyber police after facing abusive comments. Despite the filing of a formal complaint, enforcement officials faced delays in taking immediate action as higher authorities were unable to allocate the necessary funds to expand their investigation to Delhi.

Praveena expressed her relief at the resolution of the case, acknowledging the support received from Suresh Gopi and the Prime Minister’s office. The actress had contemplated ceasing her acting career due to the distress caused by the harassment.
