Kollam: Kerala Governor, Arif Mohammed Khan, has openly criticised the Chief Minister, alleging his involvement in encouraging violence and launching a protest by SFI activists against the Governor himself. The Governor was addressing the media about this incident, and he stated that the SFI activists are the daily wage earners of the Chief Minister.

The police have registered a case against 17 SFI activists in connection with the protest against the governor. The Governor questioned the police’s inability to prevent the SFI activists from engaging in violence.

The incident unfolded when the SFI activists attacked the Governor’s convey, and the police reportedly failed to provide adequate security. The FIR report indicates that the case has been registered under sections 143, 144, 147, 283, 353, 124, and 149 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The charges are non-bailable, citing obstruction of the Governor’s duties.

The Governor further claimed that the SFI activists were transported in a police vehicle for the protest and were subsequently arrested and taken away in the same vehicle. Following this incident, the Governor staged a protest by sitting in front of a tea shop in response to the attack, which concluded two hours after the Governor read the copy of the FIR and became convinced that the necessary legal actions had been taken.
