Ernakulam: Riyad, a native of Malappuram, was arrested at Cochin International Airport in Nedumbassery for gold smuggling. It has been reported that 848 grams of gold, worth around Rs 44 lakh, were seized from the smuggler.
The gold was confiscated when the passenger attempted to smuggle it by hiding it in the form of three capsules in his body.
