Thrissur: Kerala Sahitya Academy President K. Satchidanandan clarified that Sreekumaran Thampi’s lyrics have not been entirely omitted. Currently, three songs are under consideration, and the final decision will be made after the music is composed.

“The decision is in the hands of a committee led by the government. Clarity on whether Sreekumaran Thampi’s lines have been accepted or rejected will only emerge after the final decision is made. Currently, the committee favors the lyrics penned by BK Harinarayanan, but no definitive decision has been reached,” stated K. Satchidanandan.

“Two or three songs are under consideration, and Sreekumaran Thampi’s song may be chosen if it garners more approval,” added Satchidanandan. He assured that Sreekumaran Thampi will be informed of the final decision, whatever it may be.
