London: A woman from Kerala was arrested in London on Saturday on charges of attempting to murder her children by poisoning them. The arrested woman was identified as Jilumol George (38); she resides in East Sussex. The incident occurred while Jilu’s husband was away from home.
The incident unfolded when Jilumol and her two children, aged nine and thirteen, were found unconscious inside their house on Thursday morning. Police arrived at the spot and transferred them to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
Following thorough investigations, it was revealed that the woman had attempted to take her own life after poisoning her children. The police arrested her after her discharge from the hospital. A case has been filed against Jilumol for an attempt to murder her children and for an attempt to commit suicide.
