Thiruvananthapuram: The gold price in the state has witnessed an increase after nine days of decline in the price. Today, the market recorded a rise of Rs 160 for one sovereign of gold. With this surge in price, the market rate for one sovereign of gold stands at Rs 45,680.
In addition, the price of 22-carat gold per gram has surged by Rs 20, and now 22-carat gold costs Rs 5,710 in the market. Similarly, a gram of 18-carat gold is now priced at Rs 4,730.
Meanwhile, the price of silver has also seen an uptick. With a two-rupee increase from yesterday, the market value of common silver stands at Rs. 77 per gram today. Hallmark silver is priced at Rs 103 per gram in the market.
