Thrissur: A young man, Shibin, hailing from Anandapuram, lost his ability to hear after reportedly being beaten up by a Vehicle Inspector. The incident occurred on the market road in Puthukkad.
According to reports, the Vehicle Inspector chased the vehicle of Shibin and beat him up, alleging that he did not stop his vehicle when the Inspector asked him to. The young man’s eardrum was allegedly ruptured due to the assault by the Inspector.
Shibin initially sought treatment at the district hospital but is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Thrissur.
There are allegations that in spite filing a complaint against the Vehicle Inspector with the Puthukkad police, no action has been taken so far in the incident.
