Kottayam: A clash erupted between LDF and UDF councilors during a Municipal Council meeting in Kottayam. The incident occurred in Erattupetta Municipality. According to reports, a dispute related to the establishment of a civil station led to the altercation. Earlier, there had been a verbal spat between the councilors on this issue, but tensions escalated during the meeting.
The two parties got engaged in a verbal dispute regarding the release of land for the construction of the civil station. Following a heated argument, the two groups clashed. After this, the counselors sought treatment at the hospital with complaints of being beaten. A video of the conflict is also circulating on social media.
