Kochi: In a suspected case of clash between two gangs, a youth was stabbed to death in Palluruthy, Kochi. The deceased has been identified as Lalju, a native of Palluruthy and an accused in the 2021 murder case of Antony Lasar in Kumbalangi. The incident occurred yesterday evening.
Meanwhile, the police have arrested two suspects: Fajis, a native of Kacheripady, and ‘Choru Achu’, in connection with the crime. Fajis was apprehended from his relative’s house yesterday evening, while ‘Choru Achu’ was captured this morning. The police stated that they are investigating the involvement of more individuals in the incident.
According to reports, an argument between the two groups led to the clash. Another native of Palluruthy was also injured in the attack and is currently receiving treatment in a hospital. The body of Lalju has been placed at the mortuary of Medical Trust Hospital, Ernakulam.
