Thiruvananthapuram: A delegation representing the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) met with the State General Education and Labour Minister, V Sivankutty, to address concerns regarding Saturday training sessions in Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs). ABVP has been organizing strikes at ITIs every Saturday in protest against these sessions.

During the meeting, Minister Sivankutty assured the ABVP delegation that he would promptly contact the ITI director regarding the issue. Despite students’ attempts to meet the director in person over several days, they were unsuccessful as the director did not respond to their calls or requests. Minister Sivankutty affirmed that the concerns raised by ABVP would be carefully considered and addressed.

The delegation, led by ABVP State Joint Secretary Abhinav Tuneri and National Executive Council member Yadu Krishnan, expressed their grievances and sought a favorable resolution from the Minister.
