Palakkad: In another incident of SFI’s atrocities in Kerala, students of Sree Neelakanta Government Sanskrit (SNGS) College in Pattambi, Palakkad district, have come forward with a complaint against SFI leaders at their college. Rasheed and Safan, first-year students of BA Malayalam and Sanskrit, filed a complaint alleging that SFI leaders brutally assaulted them.
The complaint demands action against the senior students involved in the incident, who are reported to be SFI members. However, the victim students claim that neither the college authorities nor the police have taken any action against the attackers.
Students at the college report that following the SFI’s loss in the College Union election, SFI has been creating several issues within the college. Many students are afraid to lodge complaints against SFI, as they are perceived to behave like hooligans and goons.
The complaint filed by students of SNGS College Pattabi against SFI attacks comes just days after the death of Siddharth, a second-year veterinary student at the Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University campus in Pookode, Wayanad district, following attacks and insults from SFI leaders in the college.
In this situation, BJP and ABVP staged several protests across the country in connection with SFI’s attacks against Siddharth. SFI faced criticism from several corners for its routinely used wanton violence, social shaming, public trials, smear campaigns and inquisitorial methods on college campuses .
