Thiruvananthapuram: “Those who travel abroad can feel the world looking up to Indians with respect,” said Ajayan Pillai, Associate Vice President of Infosys, during the inauguration of the annual meeting of Bharatheeya Vichara Kendram, Thiruvananthapura Sthaneeya Samiti. He commented that India has established its presence in the software sector all over the world. It was possible because of skill development and assimilation of new ideas along with education.
Ajayan Pillai said that our youth are able to adapt very quickly to new things. They have a lot of survival instinct. During the era of computerization, there were fears of losing jobs. But the reverse happened, job opportunities have increased. The same is the case with automation. Agility and productivity are essential elements to compete in the new world. He added that our youth and students should not waste their time in engaging in politics and ensure purposeful skill development and competitiveness.
Bharatheeya Vichara Kendram Director R Sanjayan opined that not only material factors but also non-material factors should be taken into account for development. He also opined that what makes Prime Minister Narendra Modi different is that while advancing the goal of a developed India, he also emphasizes on its cultural foundation. Bharatheeya Vichara Kendram Sthaniya Samithi President M Vinod Kumar presided over the function and Secretary Ranjith Kumar V gave the welcome address.
