Thiruvananthapuram: Reports suggest that the teacher involved in the fake certificate controversy involving former SFI leader Nikhil Thomas may be appointed as principal again. The former principal of MSM College, Dr. A. Muhammed Thaha, is reportedly to take charge of the position once again.
Today’s syndicate will discuss on the file to give Dr. A. Muhammed Thaha full charge as principal. The syndicate sub-committee had approved the file during its previous meeting held the other day.
Nikhil Thomas, a former graduate student at Kayamkulam MSM College, faced scrutiny after it was revealed that he obtained admission to M.Com. using a fake degree certificate without passing the degree exam. Confirmation from the Kerala University Vice Chancellor, the Registrar of Kalinga University, and the Principal of MSM College revealed that the documents from Chhattisgarh’s Kalinga University provided by Thomas were fraudulent.
Meanwhile, Dr. A. Muhammed Thaha faced disciplinary action for his alleged involvement in the fake certificate controversy. However, despite the controversy, reports now indicate his potential reinstatement to the position of principal.
