Indian Railways allows special trains services ahead of Holi celebrations

Palakkad: On the occasion of Holi, the Indian Railways has permitted special train services from Bengaluru to Kochuveli and Kannur, catering to the festive travel demands. The special train, numbered 06555 SMV Bengaluru – Kochuveli, will depart from SMV Bengaluru at 16:30 hrs on March 23rd and 30th, 2024 (Saturdays), and will  arrive Kochuveli at 19:40 hrs the next day. The designated stops along this route include Palakkad, Ottapalam, Thrissur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Thiruvalla, Chengannur, Kayamkulam, and Kollam.

In the return direction, Train No. 06556 Kochuveli – SMV Bengaluru Special is scheduled to depart from Kochuveli at 22:00 hrs on March 24th and 31st, 2024 (Sundays), reaching SMV Bengaluru at 16:30 hrs the following day.

Furthermore, Train No. 06557 SMV Bengaluru Kannur Special will depart from SMV Bengaluru at 23:55 hrs on March 19th and 26th, 2024 (Tuesdays), arriving at Kannur at 14:00 hrs the following day.

In its return trip, Train No. 06558 Kannur – SMV Bengaluru Special is scheduled to depart from Kannur at 20:00 hrs on March 20th and 27th, 2024 (Wednesdays), reaching SMV Bengaluru at 13:00 hrs the next day. Stops along this route include Palakkad, Shornur, Tirur, Kozhikode, Vadakara, and Thalassery.
