— President of India (@rashtrapatibhvn) September 13, 2019

In his address, President Kovind said that India – Switzerland partnership has made significant progress. Our complementary strengths make us natural partners. India is the world’s fastest-growing major economy. We have set a target to become a 5 trillion economy by 2025. Around 65 per cent of our population is below 35 years of age. Our youth has the drive, energy and confidence to script the machine-intelligence age and to draw the contours of the 4th Industrial Revolution. We are skilling and empowering them to convert our demographic profile into a demographic dividend. We count on Switzerland’s cooperation to make them drivers of our growth and prosperity.
