Lulu Group to open six new hypermarkets in Malaysia

Abu Dhabi: The decision to open these six new hypermarkets in Malaysia was reached during a meeting between Lulu Group Managing Director MA Yousafali and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. The meeting took place at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi.

During the meeting, Yousafali engaged in in-depth discussions with the Prime Minister regarding Lulu Group’s operations in Malaysia. Currently, Lulu Group already operates six hypermarkets and a food processing export center in various locations across Malaysia. Yousafali conveyed to the Prime Minister that Malaysia has intentions to export a variety of agricultural products to Gulf countries. Yousafali expressed his gratitude to the Malaysian government for their ongoing support.

The Prime Minister of Malaysia commended Lulu Group for its activities in Malaysia and assured that the government would provide full cooperation and support. Yousafali also participated in the Malaysia-UAE Business Summit, which was presided over by the Prime Minister of Malaysia. The Malaysia-UAE Business Summit saw the participation of several notable figures, including Malaysian Foreign Minister Dr. Sambri Abdul Qadir, Minister of Industry and Trade Safrul Abdul Aziz, Malaysian Ambassador to the UAE Ahmad Fadil Bin Haji Shamsuddin, Lulu Group Chief Executive Officer Saifi Roopavala, Executive Director MA Ashraf Ali, and COO V.I. Saleem.
