London: UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has strongly condemned the recent Hamas terror attack that deeply shook Israel. He emphasized that Israel has an ‘absolute right to defend itself’ and expressed his shock at the actions of Hamas. Rishi Sunak’s statement came shortly after Israel declared a state of war.

UK Foreign Secretary James Cleverly and Labour Party leader Sir Keir Starmer also denounced the terror attack, making it clear that those who attempt to disrupt peace must be dealt with decisively. UK officials have affirmed their ongoing communication with Israeli authorities in the wake of the conflict.

It is believed that Gaza is preparing for an unprecedented counterattack as the Prime Minister recalls the reserve forces.

Saturday witnessed the largest-scale attack ever experienced by Israel. According to the news agency Reuters, the attack resulted in the loss of at least 40 Israeli lives and left over 740 individuals injured.
