PM Modi commends the Indian team on their success at the 25th Asian Athletics Championships

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Indian contingent that participated in the 25th Asian Athletics Championships held in Bangkok, Thailand, from July 12 to 16. The Indian athletes showcased their incredible talent and determination, securing a total of 27 medals, marking the highest medal tally achieved by the team on foreign soil in this tournament.

Expressing his admiration for the athletes, PM Modi took to Twitter to applaud their outstanding performance. He wrote, “Outstanding performance by the Indian contingent at the 25th Asian Athletics Championships 2023! Our athletes won 27 medals, the highest medal tally on foreign soil in an edition of the Championships. Congratulations to our athletes for this achievement. It fills our hearts with pride.”

India’s remarkable display at the championships earned them a commendable third-place finish in the overall standings. The team secured an impressive haul of six gold, 12 silver, and nine bronze medals, reaffirming their growing prowess on the international stage. The Japanese contingent emerged as the champions, topping the charts with a total of 37 medals.

The success of the Indian athletes at the 25th Asian Athletics Championships is a testament to their unwavering dedication and hard work. Their remarkable performances have brought immense pride and joy to the nation, inspiring millions of aspiring athletes across the country.
