Gwadar City, Balochistan: An artist named Sachaan Baloch from Gwadar City in Balochistan, Pakistan, has crafted a captivating sand portrait of former Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli. This remarkable tribute stands as a symbol of the artist’s deep appreciation for the iconic Indian cricketer.

Virat Kohli, a cricketing sensation of global stature, enjoys a colossal fan following not only in his homeland of India but also across the cricket-crazy Indian subcontinent. His stellar performances across formats have catapulted him to unprecedented heights of popularity, transcending national borders. Kohli’s extraordinary batting prowess has endeared him to cricket enthusiasts not only in India but also in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, South Africa, England, Australia, and New Zealand.

The Asia Cup 2023 witnessed its fair share of ups and downs, including the understandable disappointment of cricket fans when the match between India and Pakistan was suspended due to rain. In the midst of this cricketing fervour, a cricket aficionado from Pakistan’s Balochistan province chose to celebrate Virat Kohli’s brilliance through an extraordinary sand art creation on the pristine shores of Gwadar Beach.

One of the most memorable instances of Virat Kohli’s brilliance against Pakistan occurred during the T20 World Cup 2022, where his unbeaten 82-run knock played a pivotal role in India’s thrilling four-wicket victory while chasing down a target of 160 runs. Kohli’s match-winning exploits against India’s arch-rivals have become legendary moments etched in the annals of cricketing history. Notably, his dominant run in international cricket arguably began with his scintillating 183-run innings against Pakistan in the 2012 Asia Cup.
