Hangzhou: India secured its first-ever gold in badminton at the Asian Games 2023 as Satwik Sairaj and Chirag Shetty clinched victory in the men’s doubles category. The Indian duo emerged triumphant by defeating South Korea’s Choi Solgu and Kim Wonho in straight sets with a scoreline of 21-18, 21-16.
With this triumph, India’s total medal count at the Asian Games now stands at an impressive 101, including 26 gold, 35 silver, and 40 bronze medals.
