Mumbai: In a recent interview with Aaj Tak, former Pakistani cricketer Danish Kaneria addressed a plea to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Kaneria’s appeal revolves around his desire to overturn the ban imposed on him by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2012, which was related to his involvement in betting.
The 42-year-old Kaneria, a former star in the cricketing world, expressed his request during the interview, saying, “I request Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BCCI, you should intervene to cancel the ECB’s ban.” His ban by the ECB stemmed from allegations of being involved in betting activities.
