Kochi: The Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi witnessed an intense battle between Chennaiyin FC and Blasters in the ISL, resulting in a thrilling 3-3 draw. Despite the deadlock, the Kerala Blasters maintain their lead on the points table.

The game kicked off with Rahim Ali netting an early goal for Chennai, leaving the gallery momentarily stunned. However, Dimitrios Diamantakos levelled the score in a penalty kick in the 11th minute of the game for the Blasters. The excitement continued as Jordan Murray scored a penalty for Chennai in the 24th minute, increasing the pressure on the Yellows. Nevertheless, Kwame Peprah brought the Blasters back into contention with a goal in the 38th minute, assisted by Captain Adrian Luna.

In the second half, Dimitrios Diamantakos showcased his skill in the 59th minute, scoring from outside the box and reigniting hopes for a Blasters triumph. Despite proper teamwork from the Blasters, Chennaiyin FC’s strengthened defence dashed the Blasters’ aspirations for a comeback victory.

While the match concluded in a draw, the Kerala Blasters continued to lead the points table, maintaining their position at the top of the ISL standings.
