Dubai: The prelude to the 2024 IPL season witnessed an exciting star auction at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai, leaving fans curious about the team strategies and the fate of renowned players, especially those who performed well in the ODI World Cup.

Notably, some big names like Steven Samit and Josh Hazlewood failed to secure franchises despite their base prices of Rs 2 crore. On the other hand, players like Karun Nair and Kusal Mendis also shared the same base price of Rs. 2 crore.

The auction stirred discussions among fans about the notable omissions. Some prominent international players who went unsold include Rilee Rossouw, Steven Smith, Josh Inglis,  Lockie Ferguson, Adil Rashid, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Rassie van der Dussen, Tim Southee, and more.

Additionally, the list of Keralite players revealed that those who were unsold were Sandeep Warrier, Basil Thambi, S Mithun, and Rohan Kunnummal .
