Thiruvananthapuram: Jasprit Bumrah has emerged as Bharat’s pace bowling sensation, captivating the cricketing world with his lethal combination of pace, swing, and accuracy. Making his debut in international cricket after a prolonged wait, Bumrah has proven to be a nightmare for opponents. In a remarkable achievement, the right-arm bowler has become the first Indian pacer to attain the top rank in the history of the ICC Test Bowling Rankings.

Bumrah’s ascent to the top spot in the rankings comes as no surprise, considering his stellar performances across all formats of the game. He is the first Indian fast bowler to reach the top rank in all three formats of cricket. With a remarkable tally of 881 points, Bumrah’s dominance was on full display during the Test series against England, where he claimed 15 wickets in the first two Test matches.

In the latest rankings, South African pacer Kagiso Rabada trails behind Bumrah in the second position, while Indian spinner Ashwin occupies the third spot. Pat Cummins from Australia completes the top four.

Meanwhile, batsmen who have held the top spot in all three cricket formats includes Mathew Hayden, Ricky Ponting, and Virat Kohli . Currently, New Zealand’s Kane Williamson leads the list of Test batsmen.
