Ranchi: Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has created history again in the Test match against England. Ashwin has etched his name in the annals of cricket history by becoming the first Indian player to claim 100 wickets against England in Test matches.

Ashwin achieved this milestone during the first inning of the Ranchi Test, after he dismissed England batsman Bairstow.

Ashwin’s achievement puts him in elite company, with only James Anderson having taken more wickets than him in Test matches between Bharat and England. Anderson, the experienced English fast bowler, has taken an impressive 145 wickets in 38 Tests against Bharat.

Eralier, Ravichandran Ashwin surpassed cricketing legends Shane Warne and Anil Kumble to become the second-fastest bowler to reach 500 wickets in Test cricket, achieving this feat in just 98 matches. Ashwin accomplished this milestone during the match against England in Rajkot, starting with a tally of 499 wickets.
